Objective

The Objectives of the Society are set forth in Para-3 of the Memorandum of the Society and are as follows:

The Objective of the Society is to advance the knowledge relating to Applied/Engineering Mechanics and in particular:-

• To foster the diffusion of useful knowledge pertaining to the Science and Engineering of Mechanics of Solids, Mechanics of Fluids, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Materials and Design Engineering among the members of the Society.
• To bring together Engineers and Scientists engaged in any or all aspects of Applied Mechanics, for pooling the experiences and knowledge to solve technical problems of the society.
• To promote the intellectual welfare of the members of the Society by organizing periodical meetings for discussing and publishing scientific papers on subjects connected with applied mechanics.
• To do all such other acts and things as may be necessary or desirable to Further the objectives of the Society.
